Press Kit

Our National Emmaus Moment

Catholic communities across the country are invited to be part of the historic movement to set hearts ablaze along the four distinct routes that make up the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage. All public events are highlighted in a special interactive map that corresponds to the cities and dioceses punctuating each leg of this unprecedented journey converging at the 10th National Eucharistic Congress in Indianapolis on July 16, 2024. All are welcome to journey with our Eucharistic Lord and celebrate our shared faith with the Perpetual Pilgrims at milestones along the way by registering online with their respective diocese.

Suggested Interview Questions:

  • Can you offer an overview of the four routes of the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage and the significance of the starting locations for each?
  • How was the idea of a National Eucharistic Pilgrimage conceived, and why is this such an important element of the National Eucharistic Congress?
  • You have a consistent group of Perpetual Pilgrims that are serving along the routes from start to finish.  What can you share with our audience about these young people and what a ‘day in the life’ snapshot looks like for them?
  • How was an event of this scale organized, and how is the public invited to participate?
  • For those who don’t live near the routes, how are you encouraging people to follow along remotely?
