Mary Carmen Zakrajsek is originally from Carmel, Indiana and is a lifelong Hoosier. After graduating from Marian University in 2021, she worked in the pro-life movement for Students for Life of America and then for a Women’s Care Center. She also volunteered as a mentor for Catholic high schoolers, and loves sharing the beauty, goodness, and truth of the Catholic faith in creative ways. Last year she moved to South Bend, Indiana to pursue this mission full time as a Director of Youth Faith Formation. In her spare time, she enjoys playing guitar, rapping about God, and baking sourdough bread. As a Perpetual Pilgrim, Mary Carmen is excited to walk alongside Jesus in a literal way - through busy streets and across bridges, welcoming him and following him like the early apostles, and witnessing to the transformative power he has wrought in her life.
