Fostering Eucharistic Encounters

The Holy Spirit has poured out countless graces through the three-year National Eucharistic Revival initiative. Now, that fire continues through the 2026 National Eucharistic Pilgrimage.

At the heart of this mission are the Perpetual Pilgrims—a small band of young adults entrusted with accompanying Jesus in the Eucharist along the entire route. Each week will be marked by:

  • Daily Mass and Eucharistic Adoration
  • Eucharistic processions through towns and cities
  • Service and evangelization in local communities

This pilgrimage will bring the healing presence of Christ across our nation, renewing the Church through encounter.

Serve as a Perpetual Pilgrim

We are seeking eight young adults (ages 19–29) who:

  • Love Jesus in the Eucharist deeply
  • Desire to help others encounter Him
  • Are ready to live and travel in the spirit of the Apostles

As a Perpetual Pilgrim, you’ll steward the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage—walking closely with Christ, sharing your witness, and helping organize moments of prayer and mission.

Commitment

Serving as a Perpetual Pilgrim is an extraordinary call—and a serious commitment:

  • January 23–25, 2026: Pre-Pilgrimage Formation Retreat (in-person)
  • Spring 2026: Weekly Zoom Formation Meetings (Monday evenings)
  • May 21–July 8, 2026: National Eucharistic Pilgrimage

This journey is demanding spiritually, mentally, socially, and physically—yet it is also a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to walk in the footsteps of the Apostles.

Qualifications

We’re looking for young adults who are:

  • Baptized and confirmed Catholics, rooted in the sacraments
  • Faithful to the teachings of the Church and committed to daily prayer
  • Flexible, resilient, and ready for communal team life on the road
  • Able to share their faith in conversations, witness talks, and media interviews
  • Physically able to walk long distances (up to 15 miles on some days)
  • Open to fundraising support for mission expenses (training provided)
  • Joyful in embracing the diversity of the Church across the U.S.
  • Open to local host homes and hospitality each night for lodging and food
  • Guided by a spiritual director during preparation, pilgrimage, and post-pilgrimage
